another image about looking up

most of my close friends know that i have a crazy weird fear of storms. i attribute this to growing up in tornado alley. my father was also in a tornado and i remember the radio saying it was hitting in the area where he worked. it was really scary. i was very young and i think these things just leave an impression on you. i was recently taking pictures of storm clouds (photo 101 :) and i had a happy accident. when i was about to discard this image I found a plane coming just over the clouds. i thought i would post it keeping with my theme of looking up. i know, i know, planes are loaded image these days but i love how its just spec in the sky and smack in the middle.. i didn't crop. i also like how the lights make a funnel as they recede..you can click to see it big.

below, i'm posting the first photo of a tornado. one image is the original and the other looks to be a document or newspaper print titled Cyclone. According to National Geographic, the image was taken by an unknown photographer on August 28, 1884, about 22 miles (45 kilometers) southwest of Howard, South Dakota.

What a neat pic of the clouds, buildings and plane in the middle. I like it in black and white too! A series of these type of pics would be great to frame and group together.
